Actually when stupid laws get gun guys minds working it could be a good thing. The one thing I'm not really fond of on an AR is the fact that there is no drop at the comb and you are mostly limited to sights that are way high above the bore typically utilizing xtra high rings and bases or making risers necessary. Also the rifles have comparably a very tall profile. Maybe now that groundwork has been laid someone will to get to work on a stock that will allow use of medium or low rings and get the scope and the shooters head down on the bore where it would be more advantageous. It seems like since the mag and grip typically hang way down anyway leading to the very tall profile, that something like the ingenuity these guys have shown may also reduce the profile height of the entire rig. A smaller more compact AR design HMMM. Maybe this could turn in to a win win for AR design in the long run.
Just thinking out loud.
