The Gun Box, what do you think?

No way in the world I'm going to have some $0.01 circuit or solder point or wire between me and a needed firearm.
I've got a yong child. There are countless ways to insure keeping the two separate that don't involve risking the one thing you need to protect that same child from being available when you need it.
 
So, this thing hasnt show up yet, ordered it 6 weeks ago.

My recommendation is dont bother based on the poor customer service and slow shipping.

AND they charged me for it up front. Thats BS.

I think it's BS they charged you up front but it does say under each model " Estimated delivery mid April 2014", so maybe it'll show up then. Which model did you order?
 
UPDATE

I got this email today. Again, not impressed with this company, they charged my credit card already and havent shipped, which is a violation of MC/Visa policies, but not a Fair trade act violation because they did post that the product would be shipped in April. I dont care about their BS, charging my card before it ships isnt cool with me. On that alone, I would pass on this.

Here is their email.

Thank you very much for your interest in The GunBox. We wanted to reach out to you today because we know that we are late in delivering our product to you. We sincerely apologize for this delay and want you to know that we are working to fix this issue. In fact, we have hired several new people and expanded our manufacturing capabilities to kick our production into high gear.

We anticipate you will receive your GunBox by Mid or End of April.

Please accept our apology for this and as an added thank you, will include an RFID label ($50 value) in with your shipment in addition to the included wristband.

On another note, we’re excited to announce the development of a corner safe for rifles called The RifleBox. The RifleBox is still in the early stages of development so stay tuned for future updates.

I cant remember, its been so ****ing long since I ordered it. I get the feeling that they took orders for a product that wasn't ready, and they are using the money from the orders to ramp up the company, so free funding from a bunch of people that ordered early.

Yep, that's exactly what it sounds like....if they had anything to ship it would've been as easy to ship the product as it was to write the email. I would request a refund (?). Good luck and keep us posted. I know I wouldn't order one based on this experience alone.

That is a likely scenario. What you hope is that a enough people did order that they will actually be able to produce something. Worst case - they plan to hold out until buyers lose the right to do a charge back through their credit card company. I'd check on that.
