The Harsh Reality of Bomber Life in WWII

My father in law flew on B17s out of England during the war. His plane was shot down once but he was able to escape with the help of the French resistance. He was a true man's man and I really enjoyed listening to his stories of his service in WW2 and Korea. Unfortunately, by the time I met him his diabetes was taking a heavy toll on him and it finally killed him. We have his service medals hanging in our hallway.
