The Hi Point Thread

I’ve only had a few of the Hi Point 9mm carbines show up in my classes, but none were reliable. This was during 500-650 round count days.
That's a common theme. Hi-point owners talk about they've never have had a jam, but instructors tell a different story. Or pawn shops who sell them always have people bringing them back.
 
Liked mine so much I took it apart and Duracoated it.

The pistols are based on older designs from pre-cold war thus making the design proven, but the rifles at the price they offer could easily be hit or miss

I have no idea about variations and changes in different generations of Hi Points, I just know the ones I’ve seen don’t work.

I’ll make an offer: anyone with a Hi Point handgun can come and take one of my handgun courses. If they do not have a single malfunction all day long, I won’t charge them for the class. If they have at least one malfunction, they pay for the course as usual.
