I think I remember the owner of the company once stating in an interview, "We manufacture the Cadillac of Saturday Night Specials." Or something like that.

Guess I've been lucky...I do know of a girl who said their 380 blew up in her hand...damaged her hand someMy dad used to do CCW training in NM. He came up with the idea of teaming up with a local pawn/gun store and each new gun they sold came with a certificate for a free class.
It was a miserable failure as 90% of the people who used the certificate had bought a hipoint.
The class required 200 rounds to be fired at the range. Never once did a hipoint complete the class without a failure.
Eventually my dad had to ban hipoint by name from use in the class because they ate up so much time on the range clearing stoppages.
I know there are lots of people who swear by them, but from what I’ve seen I would rather my loved ones carry pepper spray than one of their pistols.
I did have one of the carbines about 20 years ago that was pretty fun. Especially since it would occasionally run away and empty the mag full auto even after letting go of the trigger.
