The Hi Point Thread

I bought mine LNIB for $60 bucks. that to me is about all its worth. They are surprisingly nice guns for the value. Sights are clear, fits in my hand nice and they are reliable.

Picked up my first one, a 9mm carbine, for $90 used about 8-9 years ago.

It was one of the older models with the extra-ugly stocks they used to have. I hosed it off with Gun Scrubber inside and out, put it in an ATI aftermarket stock, spray bombed it in snow camo and ran that gun for years without a problem (or a cleaning).

I have 2 carbines...9 and 45...no pistols, but they shoot just fine for something that looks and weighs like a bumper jack. No problems, but they don't get much range time. More fun, cheaper shooting 22lr. Now if Hi-Point made rimfire guns.....

But Lordy, they are ugly and heavy.

Well this thread turned out pretty well! Not as many haters as I thought. Overall they are pretty amazing guns for the cost. Would be fun to see someone enter a serious competition with one just for kicks.

You won’t regret it for the money.

The only aftermarket stock I found was a bullpup. I wonder why no one has made a folder? That would be cool, with a red dot and laser and flashlight and maybe a bayonet. Whatever cheesy accessories you could find to attach to it just seems like the right thing to do.
