The Hi Point Thread

I have a 9mm carbine and would not trade it for anything I love it.

I really want a carbine . I wouldn't change anything on it though. The one in your pic ain't bad but to me it's not worth the extra cash. And the buildup kit makes it look worse than it started out. If I get one in 9 or 40 I would probably just add a Magpul AFG (if it fits on there) and a decent light.

Hey when I get moved back to middle GA I'll take every deal in any Hi Point model that's within driving range. They're like the new snub nose 38 of this century. Remember in the 70s and 80s when you could score new or used snub nose revolvers for a hundred bucks and under? Brands like RG and Titan were plentiful at that price and even Charter and Rossi models weren't much more than that. People I knew had several snubs that were strategically stashed all over the house. But these days there ain't any cheap wheel guns to be had. But Hi Points are everywhere. So to me that's the new go to stash pistol.

You're moving back to middle Georgia? I thought you hated the place.

Yeah it's not anything I'm looking forward to. But my mom is about to be 70 and my stepfather is old as dirt with health issues. So I need to be closer to them. Not to mention my older daughter who can barely walk and chew gum at the same time.
When I buy the right scratch ticket I'm gonna buy me a winter trailer back down here in Shellman Bluff. Maybe get me a golf cart to go with it since everyone there thinks they're street legal.

I've owned several prob close to 20, was known by local pawn shop as the hi point guy. Never once have I sent one back. Bought new and used. Killed hogs with my 40 carbine.

Someone mentioned shooting a comp with them. I'd be game to shoot the state steel challenge(in March) if some one will let me use a 9mm pistol and 5 mags. I'll use my 40 carbine.

In all honesty I want to use my carbine for steel challenges. It has never let me down, However I figured folks would laugh and make comments so I went and bought a new freedom ordance 9mm(had to buy Glock mags as well) and I had problems since the first day. Guess that's what I get for not using a reliable ugly gun.

I have owned 5 different hi point pistols. They have all functioned as intended. .most folks dont clean them because you have to knock a pin out of the back of the slide with a punch to pull off the slide. Any gun is liable for failure if not cleaned.
