The Hi Point Thread

Who knows, Hi Point might sponsor a shooter for the heck of it! I’d attend that match just the fun of it. Wouldn’t it be a kick if Hi Point built a factory match gun for somebody and they placed or won!

Never tried the jimmys so can’t weigh in on them.

Probably reloads, one squib stuck in the barrel, next round kaboom.

Nwsharpshooter, surprising to hear. They are known for their reliability and cheap prices like a $20 hooker.

Well the barrel and some springs are the only things steel in the gun so I guess I could see it.

, I had a C9 that was listed here on the ODT for sale. The guy I sold it to said he wanted to shoot it before he purchased it it had never failed on me so I agreed to meet him at Wilson Shoals.
, I put it in the saddlebag of my motorcycle unloaded and took off from Duluth for the 45-minute ride. Construction on the highway was a complete mess and I white-knuckled it at 75 miles an hour up to Lula.
Right at the end of 985 was a series of really big potholes which were impossible to miss I banged through them and decided to stop just outside of Lula to get a Gatorade.
Got off the bike and realized I did not close the saddlebag in my haste and the pistol was no longer in the bag.
Quasi panicking because I didn't want to be late for a deal I decided to retrace my steps back to the giant potholes.
There on the side of the road about a hundred feet from the potholes was the C9. I threw it in the bag fastened it down correctly and took off to let the buyer know that it was probably best to cancel the deal.
Pulling into Wilson Shoals and pulling out the pistol to closer examine it I saw that the damage was just cosmetic and everything appeared to be straight.
I took it up to the shooting booth explain the problem popular magazine racking it quickly expecting everything to hang up.
It went through magazines unfazed.
We took it apart and everything appeared to be functional so we decided to shoot a couple rounds with it.
After about fifty rounds without a fail to feed or fail to eject he told me he still wanted the pistol and how much would I discount it if took it as is.
I gave him a substantial discount and he took the pistol which I assumed he was just going to use for parts.
4 Weeks Later I was at the same gun range and there was my customer and greeted me with a huge smile on his face.
He informed me he sent it back to High Point and they replace the parts at no charge. Even the grips, and returned to him the old grips.
Probably the best $25 pistol I ever sold oh, and he still shooting it to this day...
The big joke between us is if I have a gun for sale he will ask me if I can deliver it to Wilson Shoals...
Say what you want to do about this pistol it survived the 75 mile an hour torture test and kept on ticking...

If Taurus can be a sponsor, why not Hi-point?
