The knob

Why would you shut something down just because it's too successful? I can understand if they're in over their heads with the current set-up, but why not invest some money into it. Pave a parking lot. Hire extra temporary staff. I've never been there, but it seems like if there's that kind of a demand for it then there's money to be made. Where there's a will there's a way, right?
They have been doin it for 50 plus years. Takes along time to clean up after these events. Liability insurance has skyrocketed is one reason they are not doing it anymore second is that the youngest son is in his late 50’s or 60’s i beleve and they want to do other things. As soon as one shoot is done they have to start purchasing alot of thing and planning takes all year two plan 2 events a year. Its not as easy as just makin a **** ton of money. There is talk that a third party is going to come in and take over for them and just rent/use the property for the gunshow but not the MG shoot. Who know what the future holds

40,000 Friday ..I was said to have been more on sat.............They ran out of food water people were dropping like fly's
( heat exhaustion ) one poor sap with wife and kids had to have had a heart attack don't think he made it ..........If he did make it , It was due to the gallant efforts of the first responders ..... !
Almost all event's were sold out................

I mean, its on the website..
I meant from people that have been shooting there for 43+ years and know the family well. But yeah... The website. And the signs....

.... That said, a $1,000,000 cash "gate" would make me rethink that decision. I know it's a lot of work to collect a $750,000 gate, plus security needed to guard a $600,000 cash gate..... Not to mention the preparation and counting of a $500,000 cash gate. The bookkeeping requirements of a $375,000 cash gate are burdensome. The IRS is surely interested in the cash deposit of a $200,000 gate as well.

The KC property has been up for sale for years, It was a active Range for Fort Knox for many years before they acquired it so there is no telling what is in that soil ..... ! not much you can do with land contaminated by with Military Ordinance and 50 years of civilian thrown lead .........

I'm a recent grad of UT and in one of my senior classes we were allowed to go do field sampling at an old ammunition site around Chattanooga. We found largely abnormal levels of lead and copper as expected, but also odd things like antimony, cadmium, and selenium. The chemistry nerd in me would be interested to do a soil sample there.
