I was passed on 285 by a pair of bikes ... HAD to be going at least 120 - 130! I mean they passed me at 30 to 40* mph, if not faster .... I get it about going that fast — on a closed track, stupidly, maybe. But on the ‘Meat Grinder’*??
Yipes! If you’re doing that, and I mean just in a practical way, you want to make sure your stars and not just your hormones are aligned properly. You want proven, outstanding tires. A bike with a rigid frame. Top shocks and brakes. Padded body suit and brain bucket. Best of class insurance, burial benefits and so on!
*I knew some EMT’s way awhile ago who said after using a snow shovel to clear a couple of scenes the road had earned that name. And that was in the 70’s. It’s moreso now than ever
