Tough decision... I was unemployed at 59... it STUNK!!! But turned out GREAT!
We have both our parents (all 4 in their mid-80's) 10 minutes away, so it wasn't even an option for me to double my salary 12 years ago and become a yankee...

At 59 I think you are making the right decision. Ageism is a very real thing unless you have some kind of super skillset and then the age thing may not be as heavily weighed against you.
Um yeah....I lost all those along with all of my guns in that tragic boating accident....
