Whats the difference? One local store (A) has a 870 express for $289 ; and another store (B) has a 870 for $379, but they are known for being a little on the high side anyway. Are they different guns? The salesman at store B said that he thought the 'express' model is a lesser gun made for chain stores. I wonder if Remington even knows?

Theses are both new guns. And no Cadcom, B is not a wingmaster. I believe wingmasters are blued?? Both of these are parkerized finish. I think the barrels are different lengths (24 and 26) but thats it. Unless they come with a different number of chokes or something like that. Thanks for your input.

At $379 'B' can't be a wingmaster. Both probably Express, might be synthetic vs laminate
or who knows what difference w/o seeing both.

TLock, for Athens area best pricing (other than a sale item) check with Sporting Arms in Winterville
or The Gun Room in Winder. I enjoy dealing with the folks in Winder but either place you should
save money over Frank's or Clyde's.
Hope this helps

Are these new 870's? (I have seen many Wingmasters for around that price. Just not new)

Yes. Both are new
Tlock, Academy website shows several 870 express for $289.
Have a 870 express Super Mag for $349or379, maybe that was it.
Academy Sports and Dick's Sporting Goods usually less than Frank
& Clyde..... IF they have what you're looking for. That's enough for
me on Athen's local gun market, it's a challenge fer shure. Oh btw...
remember a better deal always shows up soon after you buy one.
