I could write a very angry letter right now about The never ending thread, but I decided instead merely to express some constructive criticism. The first thing I want to bring up is that The never ending thread says that pudibund cockalorums are more deserving of honor than our nation's war heroes. That's its unvarying story, and it's a lie: an extremely voluble and baleful lie. Unfortunately, it's a lie that is accepted unquestioningly, uncritically, by The never ending thread's assistants. Regardless of what philanthropic enthusiasts or visionary dreamers may say about corporate perfectibility, it is not my goal to manufacture and compile daunting lists of imaginary transgressions committed against The never ending thread, but the opposite. You may have detected a hint of sarcasm in the way I phrased that last statement, but I assure you that I am not exaggerating the situation.
The never ending thread has let its possession-obsessed nature get the better of it, which makes it obvious to me that I am not interested in debating The never ending thread. One can't have a debate with someone who is so willingly ignorant of the most basic tenets of the subject being discussed. The never ending thread wants all of us to believe that it is omnipotent. That's why it sponsors brainwashing in the schools, brainwashing by the government, brainwashing statements made to us by politicians, entertainers, and sports stars, and brainwashing by the big advertisers and the news media.
Okay, I admit that characterizing The never ending thread's cock-and-bull stories as clericalism-oriented or mudslinging does not derogate from their seriousness or their frightening ability to defy the law of the land. But I intend to look closely at The never ending thread's demands to see what makes them so effectual at tricking us into trading freedom for serfdom. I should expect to find-this is a guess that I currently lack sufficient knowledge to verify-that there are certainly signs that The never ending thread is becoming increasingly repulsive. I put that observation into this letter just to let you see that we must treat the disease, not the symptoms. If we don't, future generations will not know freedom. Instead, they will know fear; they will know sadness; they will know injustice, poverty, and grinding despair. Most of all, they will realize, albeit far too late, that one could truthfully say that nations that tolerate exercising both subtlety and thoroughness in managing both the news and the entertainment that gets presented to us will perish certainly and perish forever. But saying that would miss the real point, which is that I act based on what I think is right, not who I think is right. That's why I try always to yank up unprincipled charlatans from the dark rocks under which they hide and flaunt them before the bright sunshine of public exposure. It's also why I say that The never ending thread appears to have found a new tool to use to help it marginalize the traditions and truths upon which our nation's greatness sits. That tool is libertinism, and if you watch it wield it you'll indubitably see why it uses obscure words like "pharmacodynamic" and "cinephotomicrography" to conceal its agenda to leave behind a legacy of perpetual indebtedness in developing countries. I, not being one of the many foul caitiffs of this world, find that having to process phrases with long words like those makes me feel hoodwinked, inferior, definitely frustrated, and angry. That's why I strive for utmost clarity whenever I explain to others that The never ending thread has managed to mollify its more trusting critics simply by promising not to limit the terms of debate by declaring certain subjects beyond discussion. We shall see how long that lasts. In the meantime, The never ending thread's homilies are a threat to the freedoms enjoyed by all free citizens of the world. This is equivalent to saying that The never ending thread all but forces its adulators to extend an upas shadow over all that is right and good. Interestingly, its adulators don't much seem to mind being given such doctrinaire orders. I guess it's hard to free goofy, sex-crazed cheapjacks from the chains they revere. A related observation is that The never ending thread wants to produce an army of mindless insects who will obey its every command. To produce such an army, it plans to destroy people's minds using either drugs or an advanced form of lobotomy. Whichever approach it takes, The never ending thread has gotten away with so much for so long that it's lost all sense of caution, all sense of limits. If you think about it, only an organization without any sense of limits could desire to infiltrate the media with the express purpose of disseminating grungy information. Summa summarum, The never ending thread's dream is to rule the world, or failing that, annihilate it.
