I got some attic beaver once a few years back. We lived in an old 3 room GA Forestry Office with upstairs storage in the garage So my youngest was inside watching some SpongeBob videos on Hulu with her cousin and I was upstairs being real quiet like.

Had a friend that had a woodpecker working on his siding like yours. Rat trap solved his problem. Maybe it will solve yours.

Yeah, I had some woodpeckers mysteriously die off a year or so ago. They were beating on my house too. I live back in the woods in a cedar house so I have to deal with critters sometimes.

Nope, they haven't gotten active yet tonight. Usually early in the AM is when I hear the little bastards scratching around up there.
Sometimes I have flying squirrels get in my attic, they come down from the tree tops, hard to stop.
