Anyone remember when B17's would bomb the fire ants in middle/south GA? Good times.

The planes got as far north as Dekalb county, because we would go stand in the front yard and watch them.

Here's how well that program worked:

This will be the last year of the Air Races at Reno, NV. Congestion has grown out around the airport and after the crash last year they have decided to look for a more remote airport. If you’ve never been it is amazing to watch all of the different classes race and the STOL races are awesome.

30 minutes left seat in the EAA’s “Aluminum Overcast”. It was like flying a bus but a plastic surgeon couldn’t wipe the smile off my face for a month. Also got to jump out of the bomb bay of the “Nine-O-Nine” and landed on the beach in Destin. Unfortunately the “Nine-O-Nine” crashed after takeoff in CT trying to get back to the runway.

One of those flew real low over my house a week or so ago. Scared the s**t out've me, I thought it was going down.
