I thought you weren’t supposed to bring a knife to a gun fight?
I'm always buying bayonets. I think I have about 140 or so. Still looking.

You don't. My step-grandfather was "glider infantry" and when he gave me his bayonet (my first and I still have it) I asked him, "Mr. Charles, did you ever have to fix bayonets?" He laughed and said, "No son. I never did." I asked him if he was at the Battle of the Bulge and he replied, "Yes, I was." I asked him, "Well, what happened if you ran out of bullets?" Mr. Charles laughed a hearty laugh and said, "Well son, I sat my ass right there in that foxhole until my Sergeant brought me some more!"

I sometimes get wood when I see an UZI bayonet because I sometimes mistake them for FAL Type B bayonets.
