I used to tell the guys on my crew, "you won't wake up with a hangover if you don't go to bed."
Yea you can. Ran 10 miles so drunk off wine that I had to blue falcon a fellow drinker. Had the entire company convinced he was the one reeking of boxed Merlot. Finished the run stone sober.
AIT 1990 I woke up on the barracks floor to someone kicking me on the foot saying "Are you alive private?" My response "Barely drill Sargent" That was a miserable PT experience. But it can be done.
Ah the good old days.
Was in submarine school in Groton Connecticut in the mid 70's, drank a fifth of Southern Comfort with a friend, then went to the EM club and started drinking Harvey Wallbangers. Not a good combination. Cracked 2 ribs falling out of the top bunk onto the edge of a table. The Chief in charge of muster the next morning had some choice words to say about drunks.
Been there, done that. Glad I don’t do that anymore. PT that is.
Monday morning PT sucked after staying up 48hrs drinking and ****ing in Myrtle Beach all weekend.
No lie my buddy used to smoke a cigarette at the 1.5 mile turn around and still pass a PFT no problem.
