talked to academy salesman tonight and He told me that customers line up at 6am for a 8am store opening every Monday just to buy ammo. and usually within the hour it is sold out.

it is trickling down but a lot more people are trying to stock up, that would have never bought ammo before. end result "AMMO SHORTAGE"

I went to two different Academy stores on Sunday, and basically, neither one of them had gotten any ammo. It was a few boxes, but not a single round of 22lr, 9mm, or .223. I had also gone to 5 different Walmart locations, and none of them had received any 22lr.

I haven't had a problem finding ammo in stock, its just that the prices have gone up at most places except Walmart. That means that more people are going to be trying to hit the Walmarts to get ammo at pre-panic prices.

I don't buy ammo if it isn't pre-panic prices or close to pre-panic prices.

There is plenty of ammo available online you just have to be lucky and smart enough to know how to get it. Hell I purchased 2100 rds of 22lr from Cabela's on 1/25/13 for less than 5 cents per round. This article wasn't even correct when it first came out.

I have a buddy that is paying crazy prices for 22, I don't see it. IF stock piling for the apocalypse I wont something with more know down power than a dang 22LR. I know they tend bounce around and don't exit but I guess it's just me.

Yep. BS nonsense from wackadoo survivalist sources...the sky is falling blah blah blah.
The fact is we are doing this to ourselves. Stop the hoarding, stop the reselling, stop the panic, and it all goes back to normal fairly quickly.
