Thinking about getting a drone for surf fishing....call for ODT opinions...

I've been thinking about picking up one of the following drones for surf fishing.

Anybody got one?

I've never had a drone (except for the toy ones). Am I biting off too much?

I am an old school surf fisherman. Been doing it since I was 12. Long pole, beach chair, refreshment, patience, and some luck. If this is your cup of tea go for it.

I am going to do some surf fishing in September. I would love to try this but can’t justify the expense. If you go through with it keep us posted.

How much would you be using this? Certainly doesn't look cheap. If it would make fishing more enjoyable for you, go for it.

I think some people would enjoy fishing just a much if they didn't have any bait on their hook!

All caveats aside, such as cost, etc, I believe it could definitely work as a fish finder. I can say with certainty that flying over in a chopper tells a lot about what's down there, and where. It would be logical to assume a drone with a decent camera picture would show you just as well.

I flew my Phantom 4 pro Thursday for the first time, with the instruction from James @carver Son in Law..It is a beast, had so much fun, forgot to even activate the Cam..Jerry and I discussed the idea of using it to fish lakes also..I can cast a long way with my surf outfits but the idea, that I could get the bait way out there is appealing..Had it not been for James knowing the set ups and downloads of this unit I would have quit..Takes quite a bit to get both programed..FUN!

Ive been wanting one of these for a few years, it could really change the game fishing from the beach big time!
