I vote for the bait cannon!
My wife busted me going fishing a while back for not having any bait with me. I told her I was going fishing, not catching. I don't think she really understood.
Neat idea! Plan on being able to charge the battery. 18 minuets of flight time goes quick.

Just think about the price of a charter to go fishing, I believe this would increase the odds enough to where it would be worth it vs the cost of a charter. You could step out of the condo and catch fish all day with this!
Do it. Saw a guy doing it at Pensacola about a month ago. It was his first time using the setup to actually fish/drop bait. I don't think I've ever seen a grown man having that much fun or get such a kick out of something. Except now my 6 year old is convinced that it's essential to have one to go fishing.
I would plan on bringing the kayak just in case. I've used the kayak before to get bait out past casting distance but you need someone else involved to monitor your rod for the 5 minutes it takes to get back to shore.
