Yeah, its ugly... I wonder how firing out of the lower chamber affects the recoil? I would tend to think that there would be more straight back force than upward force.

Kahr arms handguns are extremely small and light but have no greater felt recoil than larger/heavier guns of the same caliber because they did the same thing this revolver manufacturer has done. They lowered the barrel closer to the axis of the hand. Well, that's THIER explanation. I can only say that it worked. My Kahr PM40 has no more felt recoil than my Glock 27. Both are quite comfortable.
