This is no way to win a war, looks like an interesting read.......

Great read! Gives a man something to ponder! A lot of what he says there is true, it’s a different ballgame!

Hmmm interesting point of view.
The wars of the past are not a current threat to us precisely because we have F-22’s, F-35’s nuclear submarines and aircraft carriers. Gone is the threat a Hitler or Stalin type leader attacking the West with a World War 2 type of threat of widespread destruction. This threat is gone only because we have the means to not only defend ourselves but we have the means to unequivocally win a war like this. We are no longer under these threats because of our vastly superior technology and weaponry.
These weapons put the fear of God into the godless. These weapons keep China, North Korea, Russia and Iraq in check. The day we stop advancing our military technology and the day we stop upgrading our aircraft and watercraft is the day these threats come back. We don’t stop immunizing against a disease because we have eliminated the threat, we must continue the immunization process or we will no longer be immune from these type of threats.
And where was I when we “lost” in Afghanistan ? That’s news to me! We also did not loose in Vietnam we lacked the political will to win in Vietnam. There is an important distinction there.
Finally, yes, we should invest more into technology and skills to increas our ability to defend against new and evolving threats but not at the cost of allowing the old threats to re-amerge.

Asymetrical warfare is the future of conflicts. The world needs to acknowledge the enemy of the free world is Islam. We are fighting a political ideology which masquerades as a religion whose goal is world domination through any means necessary.
They use unconventional methods to kill our soldiers and citizens with no regard for rules of engagement while we tie the hands of our troops with legal BS and antiquated agreements like the Geneva Convention which our current enemies have never agreed to.
Turn the dogs loose and forget the “humanitarian” BS. They are like rabid dogs and need to be put down.
