Had to put our 8.5 year old Golden to sleep today. Her health had been deteriorating steadily the last few months. Her white blood cell count was through the roof ten days ago. Despite being on aggressive antibiotics for eight days, she'd lost six pounds and was passing blood. She was just failing internally.

She was a sweetheart and wild child. We'll miss her so very much. Here's a picture of her with her dad Scout taken about six years ago.
