I was thinking that it would drop to sub-$400 once the initial rush on them ended, but they seem to be selling well enough that there's no need for Ruger to discount them at all.

That $411 price is better than almost anything else I've seen, and while there's a few no-names online selling it for $405 or so, when you add shipping it's a wash.

photo of the plastic stock. it looks bad. mold seam. I hope they get the molding better when the rifle is out.
Otherwise it needs a better stock.

2000 grit sandpaper and you can clean up the stocks easy. I already done this to the pair of 308's I have.

The seam isn't nearly as visible on mine, or the display model I handled. I don't know if they got an early model, or it's the lighting or what, but the real-life guns aren't that obvious.
