Ok, so this is looking to be a short legislative session
from what I can gather. Possibly over by mid-march.
I haven't received any emails from GCO, so all I know
to do is email your reps in support of a GOOD gun bill.
Let them know that you do NOT support any type of
mandatory training, opting in or out, or "special
people" exemptions. Those are the main ones that I
take issue with, if you think of more please add them.

Also, mention your support for what you do like, I.e.
government building carry, campus carry, bar carry,
cheaper/simpler renewals, etc.
Get the word out, you know the anti gunners are! Get
your friends and family to contact their reps, I think
this will all happen fairly quickly.

I'd be glad to give you some info, what would you like to know?

There were 2 gun bills last year being considered, sb101 and hb512. It's complicated how it played out, but I think some details are in the thread from last year, which I will try to locate.

Basically the house passed a great bill and the senate held it until it was unable to be voted on. They also attempted to add junk into the bill to "kill" it, such as mandatory training, opting in/out language, etc.

I'm not sure what the plan on is this year, whether they will try to fix the bill that has been poisoned, or proceed with moving hb512 forward since it is cleaner, or they may just punt and author a new bill, I just don't know.

I will follow closely and keep you guys updated, but I recommend following it yourselves! You will learn alot.

I agree with almost all of what you said with the exception of these two
1. Mandatory training; i would support mandatory safety training way to many folks are not up to speed on this.
2. Bar carry; nope guns have no place around the consumption of alcohol.

Why stop there, mandatory training for all of our rights! Yea!
