This year's gun bill...

AJC ass clown Bookman has an interesting view of HB 875: http://www.ajc.com/weblogs/jay-bookman/2014/feb/19/georgias-irresponsible-gun-use-protection-act-marc/

By Jay Bookman

During debate over "The Irresponsible Gun Use Protection Act of 2014" that passed the Georgia House this week, the Second Amendment got quite a rhetorical workout. It was cited to justify things that ought to embarrass the many reasonable, responsible gun owners in Georgia.

And of course Jay would know, right?

I feel a swell of pride how 'bout y'all?

If you feel compelled to comment. Please keep it civil, as this is going national so they will be looking for comments to seize upon.

This is from the Gifford's Anti Gun group.

I urge you to stop the “Guns Everywhere” bill that is currently being considered by the Georgia state senate.

This dangerous bill would threaten the safety of our communities by allowing guns into churches, bars, airports, courthouses and our kids' schools.

It puts us in danger - even allowing someone who has been convicted of threatening another with a gun to receive a concealed carry permit.

Please keep Georgia safe by stopping the most extreme gun bill in America.

So Mom's-a subsidiary of MAIG, Americans for Responsible Solutions-Gabby's Gang, Georgia Gun Sense Coalition and the AJC (Editor and wife) have organized a national anti-gun movement here in Georgia.

We will see how that goes for these folks. I'll be contacting all Georgia senators, Cagle and Deal informing them of a national anti-gun movement organizing and disseminating misinformation in order to sway lawmakers support of HB 875.

These are same tired arguments and aged emotional rhetoric attempted to thwart shall issue concealed carry laws that sweep the nation. Gun fights in the malls, parking lots, blood in the strings, cats and dogs living together just didn't happen, well except for the cat and dog thing. So what did these groups do when no one heeded their cries and lawmakers passed the laws despite their "Public Safety" warnings and reality reflected no increase in crime and actually it fell...... They tucked their mentally retarded emotional propaganda machine heads and doubled down on their philosophy of failure. All the while ignoring that they were wrong, not just wrong but dead ****ing wrong...

Until these folks bear the full responsibility of their poor decision making, they will torment us without rest as they do so to their own good conscience.

When the courts support the armed citizen, who legally is disarmed and then becomes a victim of such immature policies/law, then responsibility may be assigned where it belongs. If the courts decree that the police are not there to protect us and bear no culpability, then who protects the individual citizen..... The individual citizen does, until barred from doing so....

I am afraid that Georgia's mostly favorable gun laws, hopefully to become more favorable with HB875, also makes us a target for the anti's. Hammering the nail that sticks out the farthest. Also they target those states with the most fertile fields to plow, CT, CO, NY, DC, CA, etc. Those states in the mid range of gun laws probably get the least attention.

Local State Representative Chuck Sims informed The Enterprise on Tuesday morning, February 25, that he intends to retire from the State Legislature and will not be seeking re-election in the upcoming May 2014 election. Sims referred to his 18 years as a State Representative as a “blast” and added that he has “made some of the best friends a man can make over the years.”

Good. He's a family friend on my step-dad's side, but, after seeing his despicable voting record against good gun bills I'm glad to see him go.

Thank You!

I (finally) emailed each and every senator, even the Democrats, despite their party's anti-gun right plank and voting (party line) record. I even emailed Frank Ginn and informed him of a chance of redemption after last years fiasco and his involvement. Hopefully he will accept the offer.

This should work for emailing them all...
