I think the only real difference is that it's not as robust as the NXS. The NXS is designed to survive combat and large gorillas in confined spaces. The SHV is about the same toughness as a Leupold, which is very tough. Quality of glass, precision of adjustment and repeatability is absolutely top quality.

I like it, my youngest girl hunts with a similar rifle in 7mm08 and loves it almost as much as her buffalo classic in 45-70 (different worlds , i know?)
