Less-hysterical viewpoint on the Olight.
They're OK, but they're not great. Reliability is quite OK if you're using it for funsies, but you're more likely to have it fail at a critical moment when you really need the light to work than if you had gone for something like a Streamlight.
If you're not planning on ever REALLY needing it to work when you're clearing rooms or "putting out the trash", it's fine.

Maybe I should have went with what I was originally wanting, a Streamlight TRL-1.
Don't get me wrong - the Olight is fine for a range/secondary training gun. I have a couple of them myself.
But the same logic that drives the decision to get the most reliable optics for your defensive firearm extends to the weaponlight.

I tend to cheap out when it comes to accessories because I don't use them often. But the olight blowing up claims have me a little worried lol.
My brothers did. Lol
He was putzing around at the range and it got super hot and started leaking battery juices everywhere.
Sounds like you should've invested that money in ammo then.
