Thoughts on Dillon Square deal

You seem to have it figured out: if only one caliber is in your future, the SDB is a great press. I started with a SDB in 45ACP. I HAVE OWNED THE SDB, a 550 and 3 650’s. I would not buy a used SDB unless it was obviously only slightly used. They have a lot of wearable parts and it is a harder press to work on and adjust than a 550 or 650. Personally, I would buy a second SDB before switching back and forth between two calibers.

Side note: I like the 40. The brass loads like a 45, but can be handloaded as light as a 9mm. As a reloader it offers a lot of versatility.

Dillon definitely treats customers very well, and sending it back is always an option. I do not want the hassels of sending it back-it is not totally free after shipping.

You don't need a dragster to commute to work.

I'd argue buying what meets your needs and within your means comes more with age than just always buying the top of the line with all the bells and whistles. :p
Quality is remembered long after price is forgotten.
