Thoughts on M&P Shield Plus

I just saw a review on TFB TV that said they Cerakoted the frame. Not a fan of that.

Went and fondled one at the Gwinnett Bass Pro earlier. MSRP there was $549 plus tax. Also, Bullseye in Lawrenceville said they had them as well but they were about $20 higher. To the naked eye it feels and looks just like the last two Shield releases. Due to BPS's policy, they are not allowed to remove the trigger lock so I could not function test the new and improved trigger that made its way into the pistol. That completely sucks. Really surprised they cant be more accommodating on that.

Makes you wonder why S&W was so slow catching up to everyone else in the market for this but then again they have never released anything in 10mm for a striker fired pistol either.

I have one. I like it. Always thought the shield was a hair too thin. This fits my hand perfect. Pretty good trigger too

Also, it was a lot less than the $700 people are already for them on here. If you want one hold out a few weeks and they'll be pretty readily available

I just don’t see the big difference between the Shield Plus versus the M&P Compact. Maybe a shorter barrel length on the Shield? I’d like to see a comparison video of the two.

That and I believe the biggest thing is going to be thickness. It's only a smudge bit thicker than a standard shield. It's almost negligible but just enough to where it fills your hand better. I'll take a pic of both side by side later this evening for comparison.
