A couple bass and a bowfin from my in-laws house near Orlando.

I caught the bowfin on my last cast yesterday evening. It hit a chatterbait like a dump truck and started to run. I had no idea what was on the line so I just reeled fast and walked backwards dragging it into the backyard to get a better look. It was my first one and a pleasure to get the chance to see.

10thmountain , beautiful day like today, why aren't you fishing! I decided to work today.......dammit! I guess I can't complain because we are extremely busy.

What river? My youngest and I paddle the lower Etowah and rarely fish. But, we like to get out and look for crawdads and "trash treasure".

SO you guys know I love to fish. I fish primarily spinning reels and some spin cast , I have fiddled with fly fishing a LITTLE BIT and would like to acquire a combo for fishing trout. Any good starter recomendations Less than $150? That would literally be the most I have ever spent on a rod and reel ever. ( The fish dont know how much my gear costs, I never tell them, they would be offended, LOL) ) ( I have a nice trolling heavy penn rod reel combo I would trade someone for one)
