I have a SS Ruger compact in 308 and a SIG 762 TIQD. Does anyone know if the barrel on my Ruger can be threaded to accommodate my SIG?

why would you want to ruin a perfectly good gun? J/K
Well Biker, that is a valid question. I have a 700 SPS that is threaded and is an excellent host for my SIG supressor when in a blind or stand but it is heave. I would also like a lighter host as one that will carry well.

I hear ya. Love my SIG. Shot it this weekend. With subs it was silent +1. With supersonic they were quiet with no ears. I hate what it takes to get them but I do love them when the dust settles.

I have a Ruger M77Mk2 in .308 that I had cut back and threaded, but even @ 18" the barrel was thin enough that 'smith felt better threading it 1/2"-28 and putting a precision thread adapter on it to get the 5/8"-24 that I had requested.
