Tipping: I can't be the only one, right?

The other side of this tipping debacle is the revenge videos that people are posting, especially delivery drivers are posting online. Everything from putting peoples food on the floor with the AC blasting it to chill it down, purposely leaving items or even eating some of it. There were so many Door Dash videos going around, I don't use them anymore. Always tipped, never had a problem, just can't stand the entitled behavior.
Not to change the subject, BUT

I've done Hoagies from Jersey Mikes and pizza from whoever for expediency when I'm too tired to make a sandwich.

The reason I "eat out" is so I don't have to cook, clean up all the cooking stuff, and clean up after myself. No way I want to pay someone to bring cold food and all the trash to my house.

Being a frequent customer at Chez Waffle, I stay amazed at the line of people getting breakfast to go. Who wants to eat a cold breakfast?

Just FYI for those who like to tip in cash to keep it "under the table", many of the POS (Point of Sale) computer systems recognize a $0.00 credit card tip and force the server/employee to claim a minimum $ amount, often 10%, because it "assumes" that a cash tip was left. So when you leave $0.00 on your $100 bill, the system forces a $10 or more tip entry. Same goes for paying in full with cash. The system often forces a minimum tip to be claimed when closing a cash check. It is best to leave a $0.01 penny tip on the card and the rest in cash. TRUST ME.
I know that, that's why I always put 10% on the plastic, cash on the table.

Also, while it's illegal, some stores "tip out" other workers from the recorded tips, and a savvy wait person tips out cash into their pocket.

If you leave an $.01 tip, the server is still going to get reported and taxed on 8% (I think is the right number). That's why it's important to tip +/- 10% on the plastic.

They want everything and tip nothing. Just ask anyone that has worked the job. But my daughter said it way harder than that.
Nothing new. When my family owned a restaurant in the 80s it was the same.

Interesting. Never seen that. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled.

Dude you need to get out more.

Where do strippers fit in to your tipping philosophy?
It's been a few years, but it was like $10 per song for a lap dance and $30 per song for the VIP room. Didn't know tipping them was a thing then, lol. Rub and tug places were like $60 an hour and $140 for the happy ending. Never thought to tip there either.

I worked as a quail guide in 90-92. My wage was 1.18$ /hr. plus tips. They fed me 3 a day and gave me a small bunk house to live in. 6 days a week during deer/quail/turkey season. Best job i ever had. Never asked for a tip but most regular customers were nice tippers.
As far as hairdressers, (when i had more to cut) and the girls leaned forward on my back or rubbed their legs up against me i felt the desire to tip more ;)
Being a requirement to tip I dont agree with but if you do bust ass for someone its nice to be recognized for it in tip.

Time to listen to this interview with President Ronald Regan. Listen what he says at minute 0:40
It is a shame that they would not let Reagan do what he needed to do to make this country work better financially.
He damned sure knew what needed to be done….you cant fight congress though, they are scared they will lose something they want !!

Yes sir…put me on birds and have good dogs, you get rewarded! Hell…I’ll tip good just to watch the dogs work.
