Are these ok for a first 1911? I've never owned one but have shot nice ones. Not sure I care to spend much more on one.
 
yes, I have one, and I know folks that have much nicer 1911s and still own and enjoy their tisas.
Thank you. It's hard wading through the reviews and what to trust. This and the RIA 1911 come up in conversation together from what I've read.
 
Have 2 and a RIA and a Colt, all shoot about the same. Both are commander size others are full size

Turkish made 1911. How bad can it be? My ATI Commander size was made in the Philippines and I have no problem with it. Third world is third world, right?
Anyway if it's a starter 1911 then I say get the best price you can on one. If you hate it sell it. If you love it then it's the first one in your 1911 collection.
