I want background checks for cars/drunk drivers. I want a database and interactive map (like a sex offender map) showing DUI residence. If I live next to a drunk driver the likely hood of my getting in an accident may well go up. Maybe people with multiple DUI's should be banned from owning cars ?

How about a federal law that no judge can change or challenge, that states if you possess a weapon in a crime, mandatory 10 years in prison without parole. If you use the weapon and injure someone, mandatory 25 years in prison without parole. If you kill someone with the weapon, mandatory death sentence. No appeals, no pleas, just justice. Once it's proved that you controlled the weapon all other excuses are null and void. I bet that would end some of the stupid choices criminals make!
