Toast to our defenders

I'm sure I'll 'lift more than one glass' in this thread but I've always thought this was one of the most telling things about the honor and respect due US armed service members:

Lee Marvin, tough-guy actor in movies and tv, millionaire. But he served in the USMC in World War II and was wounded on Saipan in 1944. Despite all kinds of accomplishments that brought him wealth and fame, he wanted to be buried in Arlington with this headstone. The man knew which of his activities in life had been TRULY significant and that we should all remember this as we bumble along in our daily lives.
