During a meeting with the DA last week, there doesn't appear to be a push from her (ridiculously priced) attorney to have this go to trial anytime soon (no motion has been filed for a speedy trial). Consequently, it's probably not going before a jury before late summer/early fall.

No right to a speedy trial in a capital case.

After several delays, the trial has been set for July 23rd. I'm not sure what else there is to report. Little Braxton is in the care and custody of Jordan's family pending the outcome of the trial. He turned 3 in June.

The family is still grieving, his friends too; I guess we all are. I feel like I'm stuck living in November 1st 2015...

Thanks guys. I really hope that this trial brings everyone some closure. I never really thought much of that word until this happened. I've heard it before in crime dramas and docu-dramas on TV, but I always just assumed it was something people said that kind of enhanced the storyline.

I haven't been able to make myself shoot a gun since that day. I did some distance tests on my own, back during the investigation phase; fired 5 shots and it was a miserable experience.

Yeah, I'm not really in the gun buying mood these days. I still carry, but it just isn't the same. I got an email saying you had responded to the thread, so I guess we can thank technology for that.
