Today's School Situation

Not durable in our system, because not everyone agrees on what God is and you can't force people to agree without religious wars and tyranny. Avoiding such things was a key element in our founding.

If you say "biblical principles," e.g., respect for life, property, parents, community, etc., which are pretty universal in most stable religious and social systems, you can generally get people to agree. They can put those tenets into whatever box God fits in for them. Even aetheists will generally agree those values are positive for society; they just don't call it "God."
Almost like forcing integration at gunpoint didnt resolve basic cultural differences between people0

This Black educator says that America's schools and daycare centers put Black children in a QUOTE "preschool to prison pipeline" because it is unfair to expect any children to behave when they're supposed to misbehave (that's what they do). And ...the troublemaking kids should not experience any negative consequences for misbehaving, not even just the teacher calling their name with a disapproving tone in her voice, because THAT just turns them into hard-core criminals when they grow up.

Furthermore, all schools following traditional methods of teaching and classroom behavior violate the diversity, equity and inclusion doctrine.
It's not just or equitable --especially for black kids-- to enforce rules for kids' behavior, because while black children currently make up only 20% of the student population they make up half
(50%) of all the kids suspended or expelled.

Teachers, when faced with blatant repeated misbehavior should .... just encourage the children to sit and talk about their feelings. And then end it with a hug.

Suspending kids is the wrong thing to do and shows that the adults failed.

LBJ is probably laughing his ass of right now. And his famous quote is truer today than ever.
