Here's a topic ill throw out there. In Glock, rise of Americas gun a whole chapter covers negligent discharges and the resulting lawsuits. Basically, it honestly boiled down to piss poor training on the cops part. They were covering the target with fingers on the trigger, and being use to revolvers, were accidentally shooting suspects. (Huge lawsuit in Knoxville Tennessee occurred, but Glock won as it was fault of the officer.). Even Mossad ayoob originally bashed the glocks trigger saying you had about 3/4 of trigger pull with no weight, and then 1/8th inch at 5.5lbs, which he said was too light. Even watching a few hickok45 videos, he says the m&P's have very sweet target triggers, but they are too light. On top of that, I often hear of guys carrying double action on the first round as a sort of "safety"I'm not talking about competition 2lb triggers, I'm talking about 4-5lb triggers. So here's my question, do you feel that a short pull/light trigger is dangerous, or do you believe in the mantra "finger off the trigger until ready to shoot"? While even massad ayoob was against the glock due to its short and light pull, part of the reason glock became a wonder gun in the hands of Leo is they weren't pulling their shots off from.the long and heavy trigger pull. Discuss.

Me personally, I believe your finger should be off the trigger until ready to shoot. Even a heavy revolver trigger surprises me, I can imagine with adrenaline, that revolver trigger, or double action first shot, is going to be very light.

(later on in the book mossad takes a very different stance on the Glock and even takes the author to a gssf match, Which mossad and his girlfriend place very high in)

It shouldn't matter if it's set at 3,5, or 13lbs. If I point my firearm at something, I intend to pull the trigger as well.....I'm not a police officer trying to get a citizen to abide. My firearm is to be used as a last effort in fear of my life and in that instance, i'm not gonna worry about trigger pull weight as I won't even have time to think very long...
