Too many guns for safe... whats the option? selling isnt one

People accumulate a lifetime of stuff, 99% of it no one will ever want/need. It makes a lot of sense to give stuff people would want and start getting rid of the rest before it’s someone else’s problem. I am going to designate a handful of firearms in my next will but I would expect the rest to be sold off. If I get to an appropriate point in life, I am getting rid of as much crap as I can.

Years ago, every time I would visit my father, he would hand me a bunch of crap. I realized he just wanted me to throw it away. Old American Rifleman magazines and the like. Later, he and his wife would be trying to talk anyone visiting into taking off with decorations or furniture. No one wanted the stuff. It was just crap. I will try to take that as a lesson learned that most my stuff is just crap to others.

If it were up to the wife all my possessions would be sold for a dollar each. Pinned barrel N frame Smiths= $1, complete Mercury dime collection =$1, 90% complete Morgan dollar collection = $1, pre 64 Winchesters= $1 ea. I do need to off load stuff like 30 years of gun and hunting magazines. Kids will probably not be able to read in the near future. Ive stopped getting animals mounted because taxidermy brings peanuts or nothing after the owner passes. Your grandest trophy mounted animal probably wouldn’t even cut the mustard for display in Cracker Barrel.

Tell your wife I'll give her $350 now so she can go shopping before the tariffs raise prices.😁

I know for fact that she would take you up on the offer for my last piece of dust collecting art.
