I've been reloading for 20yrs. At what point (in your obviously professional opinion) do I stop being a rookie???

Well, it doesn't work. I'm not going to throw more money at it. No warranty since its around 7yrs old. I'm not going to sell broken equipment to someone. Thats just wrong. Esp knowing this particular piece. What would you have suggested?

I wouldn't complain about not having money while admitting to demolishing any item with some value. The Loadmaster is a decent capable press, someone would have paid something for it in "As-Is" condition.

I'm experienced enough to have learned that my frustrations are usually quite expensive.

nice... as many times as i tell students to "buy once, cry once" some of them dont listen. Reloading is not a hobby you will get into then decide "well i dont think im going to reload anymore". Buy quality equipment with no questions life time warranty that will last you the rest of your life. it is an investment. why throw money in the garbage.

I have been very pleased with the Hornady lock-n-load system as well as my redding T-7. RCBS new presses look nice but i have no experience with them.

Lee is pretty good about standing behind their products . Did you try to get any warranty service ? I have broken parts on my 550 . None are perfect

You are correct DILLON, is expensive, however one investment and its done!!

We have the 550, and the 650, great machines, and DILLON'S WARRANTY, beats them all......
