Total gun ban on possession at home

Denying someone their Constitutional rights is now legal? So, if you do not own your home (ie, have a mortgage), the real owners can do the same. Good to know, borrowers beware.
A private citizen can deny your constitutional right because you're on their property. The whole point of the constitution is for the government not to infringe on your rights. Why do people still don't understand this? It's like the argument with YouTube banning gun videos.

I am guessing that a judge will parse this as they are not stopping you owning a gun only where you can keep it. Doesn't NJ arrest you if they find a gun in your car without a NJ weapons license?

It's already like that for most Section 8 housing in Ga. now. They've even banned smoking INSIDE the apt. where my sister in law lives too, not just on the property outside.

So, do you think that anti-gunners only want "reasonable" restrictions, like having a license issued by the government, or passing a background check, or a safe storage law where you have to lock up your guns when you're not home and not actually using them or carrying them?

Nah, some gun-grabbers want to do to all firearms what the Ku Klux Klan wants to do to blacks. Separate water fountains and literacy tests to vote aren't enough-- they want to lynch them or ship them back to Africa (or halfway there).

As proof of how UNREASONABLE gun-haters are, this big commercial apartment building in New Jersey just announce that it was banning all guns from its property. Every type of firearm of any description, no matter if it's sporting or tactical, modern or antique, even black power muzzle loaders. If it shoots, it's banned. And if you keep it, you'll be evicted. Even if you're under a lease and the contract you signed didn't say anything about weapons.

No, you can't keep it unloaded and locked in a gun safe. That's not good enough. They have to be BANNED. Totally forbidden. Anything that shoots.

(Chances are the lease said that the management can change the terms of the contract whenever they want to and add any reasonable rules. What do you want to bet that any liberal activist judge in the Communist People's Republic of New Joisey will agree that a total gun ban, even in your own home, is "reasonable?" )

Not sure about NJ.. NYC Pistol in Car= Felony.... NYS if you have a pistol permit your good. But it is not a CCW. only for transportation.

This was litigated in California a couple of years ago and gun owners actually won that one.
If I remember, I will try to look up the case.

I suppose this is the liberals definition of reasonable gun control that we all can agree with.

Depends whether you're talking short-term or long-term.
Short-term: having a license issued by the government (etc.)
Long-term: refusing to issue any licenses (etc.)
Has happened too often already.
"Common sense gun laws"
The reason we are not (supposed to be) a democracy. (Too bad we are, in too many ways.)
