Yesterday I was watching the news when they did a story about a new drone that the Navy has been developing. What makes this one unique and a complete shift in how these work is the fact that there is no remote pilot or a pilot shadowing it from another aircraft. It is completely operated by computer. They currently are doing ground based catapult launch tests and have done practice taxiing on aircraft carriers. They are going to be placed aboard aircraft carriers as soon as 2017 and eventually armed. Maybe I watch to much TV and movies but can you say "SkyNet"?
