I do agree with your logic, but I am seeing quite a few things listed at "new on the shelf" trade prices. That and basic glocks for 950$ lolI have listed things in the past for sale or trade with a set dollar value or specific trade listed, say $1000.00 or trade for xxx. A little later I find something else that I would like to buy for $750.00, so I lower the cash price to $800.00, to try to raise the needed cash. The original trade value stays the same, because I'm really looking for cash at this point, to make the other deal and not just trying to get rid of my item for anything other than what I originally listed.
This is meant to be an example only.
Agreed, just stating that all listing's are not the same. A new listing with cash/ trade discrepancies are what i think the OP is referring to.I do agree with your logic, but I am seeing quite a few things listed at "new on the shelf" trade prices. That and basic glocks for 950$ lol

A year or so ago a member had a Ruger SP 101 for “trade only”. Stayed listed, or rather RE-Listed for a couple weeks. Had box, docs etc and two boxes of 357 mag shells with it. His trade value was $650.00. I finally sent him a P M offering to trade him five one hundred dollar bills, two fifty dollar bills, two twenty dollar bills an one ten dollar bills,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, never did get a reply😳
