Trading for one type of gun only?

How often is this successful? ODT seems dead right now and I can't help but wonder about people who list a gun when they're only looking for one other type of gun. It seems the likelihood of that is not very high. Anyway, it's Thursday so why not complain about something?

Would be best to run an ODT auction. List your item at 50% of Gunbroker auction closing prices, let the PMs roll in, take the highest offer and don't respond to the rest. Works every time. Guaranteed.

I admit it's hard and severely lowers the chance of making a deal but sometimes you're ok with that. I have one rifle like that, the only thing I'll trade it for is a Tavor and have had no takers bit it's a rifle i don't mind keeping so no real bother to me

In some cases maybe the person is willing to take less in cash than they would in trade.
