Is a trapping license required if my sole purpose is to trap and dispatch coyotes? I won't be doing anything with the fur so as I read the regulations, it doesn't appear that I need a license. Just hoping someone with a little knowledge on the subject can chime in.

The answer is yes, if you are going to trap in GA you need a license. They are easy to get and real easy if you don't mind driving to Social Circle. I make the drive every year to renew.

Good luck. By the way, the Georgia Trappers Association has a convention coming up soon which is a great place to get supplies, traps and schooling

I have asked before with no success but I would like to see a trapping forum on this site. That would be a great addition and the trapping forum is heavily used on the other popular site during trapping season.

Haha yeah the dnr and a game warden is the same thing but ok

WOW, nice catch Alabama!! I should have said the DNR OFFICE, which is not the same as the game warden in Georgia. Those are the folks who write and publish the regulations and the folks at that number are very knowledgeable relating to trapping rules and regulations in Georgia. Thank you for correcting me.
