I had a chance this week to set a few traps for three days.
caught two possums and one fat dog.

The dog is fine the possums are among the departed.

while I do not dislike coons or possums they wreak havoc on qround nesters such as quail and turkey .

Just FYI,

Possum eat between 3,000-6,000 tics in a year.

They are the only real predators as far as tics are concerned. They actually seek them out.

Just FYI.

Which is the exact reason my wife goes nuts if I threaten to dispatch one in the yard. They do eat the ticks!
