I just read that it was a false alarm.
In the middle of a base security exercise someone reported hearing gun shots.
That caused the lock down.

Back in the olden days, my patrol vehicle was a Chevy "Love" truck.
I learned how to make it backfire and sometimes I'd do it when I was bored.
Never caused a lock down but I could tell how far away people could hear it from the radio calls reporting the sounds of gunfire.

If Brown gets any dumber you will hear a lot of gunfire out that way.
Easy Peasy, run the rpm up in second gear turn off the ignition, just before it stops turn the ignition back on..Two many times, and you will blow out the muffler..Don't ask me how I know.

I used to scare the piss out of flight line cops, at Travis,
taxi by and throttle up and shake the cars or running engines slam the throttles back and it produce a compressor stall, sound like a cannon going off and the a fire bottle out the exhaust....good times
