Can someone tell me the process to go into a WMA and hunt for some squirrels? Do I have to check in? Can I beach the boat, walk in and get to it? Thanks

Must check in to hunt... locations differ per WMA.

Using a boat... yes to you Q above.

I also want to say you’re able to shoot from your boat as long as it’s not under main power. I read that somewhere years ago however it may be OBE and I would advise to get in touch with your local Dnr agency to ensure that you’re in a good to do it.

You must check the dates of the wma. Some are different and not all open at the same time. You must sign in. You can do it at the check station or online. I believe you only have to sign in once for small game. I may be wrong on that one. You can hunt from a boat if it is not under power

I would go early in the season while leaves still on trees while they still cutting acorns unless you have a dog.
