I understand that each WMA is leased private property, so each comes with its own dates and regulations. But you generally check in the first time for that WMA (online or in person), and you're good for the season.

I don’t think you have to sign in for small game season anymore.

I think you still have to sign in, but you sign in through the go outdoors app. Yes you can use your boat as long as it’s on Allatoona wma and not corps of engineers.

You can beach your boat on COE land and walk to the WMA. No problem carrying a gun as long as it is consistent with current state hunting regulations. COE land may actually be open to squirrel hunting, you should check on that.

Haven't check it this year, but last year on my WMA for small game you just had to sign in once online for the season.
